(Participant Waiver)

1. Acknowledgment of Risks

I acknowledge that participation in the Brampton Marathon (the “Event”) involves inherent risks, including serious injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. I understand and voluntarily accept these risks.

2. Assumption of Responsibility

I assume full responsibility for my participation in the Event. I confirm that I am physically fit and have consulted a physician if necessary. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred due to participation.

3. Release of Liability

I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, and assigns, release, waive, and discharge the Brampton Marathon organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and any affiliated parties from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses incurred during or in connection with the Event.

4. Medical Treatment Authorization

I authorize the Event’s medical personnel to administer necessary first aid or medical treatment in the event of an emergency. I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.

5. Photography & Media Release

I grant permission for my name, image, likeness, voice, and any statements to be used in photographs, videos, recordings, or other media taken during the Event for promotional, advertising, and commercial purposes without compensation.

6. Governing Law

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario.

7. Agreement by Registration

By registering, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to all the above terms.
