Terms of USe

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or participating in the Brampton Marathon (“we,” “our,” “us”), you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not register or participate.

2. Eligibility

  • Participants must meet the age and health requirements specified for each race category.
  • Minors must have parental or guardian consent.
  • By registering, you confirm that you are physically fit to participate.

3. Registration & Fees

  • Registration is mandatory for participation.
  • Providing false or incomplete information may result in disqualification from the event.

  • Registration Deadline:
    All registrations close after the stated deadline. No registrations will be accepted after this date.

    In the rare event that additional spots become available, individuals on the waitlist may be contacted. Any late registrations will not receive a chip-timed bib, will not be eligible for prizes, and will not receive an event shirt. A finisher medal will still be provided upon completion. Late registration windows may be limited due to logistical constraints.

  • Refund, Transfer & Change Policy
    Entry fees are non-refundable in all circumstances.
    • If you are unable to attend the Event, your registration fee will be directed toward supporting the Brampton Marathon and associated charities.
    • You may transfer your registration to another participant or request a race/distance change, subject to availability and at the sole discretion of the organizers. All requests must be sent by email to run@bramptonmarathon.org.
    • If upgrading to a higher distance, you must pay the difference. If downgrading to a lower distance, the difference is forfeited and will go toward the marathon and charities.
    • No transfers or changes will be accepted once registration has officially closed.
    • Charity or donation portions of any fee are non-refundable and non-transferable.
    • All transfers and changes are subject to approval and may be denied at the organizers’ discretion.

4. Participant Conduct

  • All participants must follow race rules and instructions from event officials.
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior, cheating, or disruptive conduct may lead to disqualification.
  • Wearing the incorrect or unauthorized bib will result in disqualification.
  • Littering along the race route is strictly prohibited.

Lost or Damaged Items

The Brampton Marathon organizers, volunteers, and affiliates are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, including items left at bag check, in transition areas, or anywhere on the course. Participants are advised to leave valuables at home and use provided bag check at their own risk.

6. Event Modifications & Cancellations

  • We reserve the right to modify or cancel the event due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances (force majeure).
  • No refunds will be issued in the event of cancellation due to force majeure.

7. Use of Personal Data

  • By registering, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
  • Race results, photos, and videos may be shared publicly.


8. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and event-related content are the property of the Brampton Marathon and may not be used without prior written permission.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes must be resolved in the appropriate courts of the Province of Ontario.
